This is my wedding speech used on the 10/10/10 at Rushton Hall. I didn’t want a run of the mill wedding speech so prepared something a little different. I hope you enjoy. It started as I was waffling on about how we met and showing some mundane holiday photos then went on the powerpoint screen you see as we start the video.

I’m now planning on a reception for the wedding and not sure about asking guests for gifts. I don’t want to go through the process of deciding a gift registry for guests to buy gifts and then returning the gifts not meeting my needs. I’d prefer receiving monetary gifts $$$. It’s easier. Is this something etiquette acceptable? How do I put it on the invitation or let my guests know that they don’t need to buy gifts, instead they can give me the cash?

This song, Grow Old with You , is from the Adam Sandler film The Wedding Singer. I decided to surprise my Bride and sing this romantic song for her during my Grooms speech, I also wrote a couple of funny extra verses. Our wedding was at the Tamisa Golf Hotel, Mijas – July 2010
