I heard this heart-wrenching song one very late night when I was searching for background music to play while I danced with my son at his wedding reception. I played it over and over again, going through at least one box of Kleenex. It was perfect, with one exception: Molly P. has an amazing voice, but her rendition ends in a big way, and I imagined a softer, more gentle landing. After I overcame the what-will-people-think trepidations, I booked time at a local studio to record this tribute for my beloved first-born son. There are really just a few moments in my life that make my soul smile: “Mom, may I have this dance,” is one of them.

Years ago my twin brother Paul and I agreed we’d be eachother’s best men when the time came to get married. And whenever we decided that I always knew I wanted to do something special for him when it came to my speech. This is the result. Congratulations Paul and Cheyenne. (for those of you that don’t know me. Dont judge me based on the drawings. I had only a couple of months to do a 6 minute short in the evenings. (Speech Below) Hello everyone, for those of you that don’t know me, my name is Joe Kampf… the groom, If you have any gifts for Joe and Annette, I mean Annette and I, please place them in this box, I will be taking them out to my car shortly. Well… it was worth a try. My name is Steve Kampf, brother of the groom. And I must say, after all this time I am relieved Joe is finally admitting who is the better man, I mean best man.
